Mount Etna East – Valle del Bove an extraordinary E-Bike adventure.

It is an Half-day bike tour that includes lots of aspects:During this thrilling tour, we will traverse the lava flow from the 1928 eruption before entering a fantastic oak forest, leading us to a forest shelter with a breathtaking panoramic view. Along the route, we will also visit a captivating lava tube, and we will enter the immense Valle del Bove.

Excursion program Mt. Etna E-Bike Tours:

Meeting Point:

• INTO ETNA HEADQUARTER, 8:30 am, departure to the starting point of the excursion.
• Once there, we will make a briefing about the excursions, and the correct use of our E-bikes.

We will start cycling from a village, before we will cross rows of vines, typical of this territory, before arriving almost suddenly in front of a lava field testimony of a dramatic history.

The lava field of 1928:

the last eruption to destroy a village of Etna, after having crossed it by e-bike, we will leave the black and harsh lava rocks to move to an enchanted oak forest, the passage will be indescribable.

In the middle of this oak wood we will find a plateau where to leave the E-bikes and visit a beautiful example of lava cave with helmets and torches, we will discover the characteristics of the interior and the formation of these hypogeas.

After a simple path with climbs and descents we will get to the place to have a rest and a quick lunch, the refuge Crisimo, with a 360 degree view absolutely wow! To the East the Ionian Coast and Taormina to the West the Summit craters with the South-East Crater.

The immense Valle del Bove:

After lunch we will climb to the suggestive Valle del Bove, a vast volcanic depression surrounded by steep walls and dotted with spectacular scenery.
