Mt.Etna Wine tasting:
An unique E-bike Tour experience: we will visit the deep gorges of the Alcantara river, we will ride with our e-bikes on the largest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, crossing pristine places and breathtaking views then down to the village of Castiglione di Sicilia, among the most beautiful villages of Italy, for an experience in one of the most prestigious wineries of the Etna landscape, to have lunch and taste the Etna DOC wines. Definitely an experience to live on e-bike.
Excursion program Mt.Etna Wine tasting:
- Taormina appointment for the pick-up at 08:20.Transfer to the Alcantara Gorges
- 9:00 visit of the Alcantara Gorges.
- 10:00 Transfer to the starting point of the E-bike excursion.
- 14:00 Lunch with tasting Fine wines in a prestigious winery
- 16:00 Return to Taormina
Detailed program Etna Alcantara:
Entrance to the beautiful Alcantara Gorges: We will visit the lava flows that have occurred over the years which have created particular morphological structures.
After visiting the gorges, we will leave with our van towards Pineta Ragabo, from where we will start with our e-bikes towards a path that will allow us to discover the variability of the landscapes of Etna, a nature trail that crosses woods and lava flows.
Once in the North Face we will be surrounded by the longest lasting lava flow of Etna we are in the Passo dei Dammusi.
Mount Etna Lava Cave:
There we will visit a lava tube or lava cave with helmet and torch to admire the characteristic formation of these hypogeas.
The descent begins. Direction the roads of Etna’s DOC Wine, and the landscapes will change incredibly leaving lava fields and extreme forests in the terraces and rows of vineyards almost to the village of Castiglione, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Once in the cellar we will have a lunch with tasting of fine wines.
After this culinary journey, we will leave for Taormina for the end of this incredible e-bike day with Into Etna.
