You’ll ride through contrasting and awe-inspiring landscapes: pine forests, sweeping views of the summit craters, and the warm, steaming lava flow from February 2025.
Starting from Rifugio Sapienza, we descend to the lava plateau of Piano Vetore. From there, along a scenic section of the Altomontana Trail, we reach a still-warm lava field – an extraordinary reminder of Etna’s ongoing evolution. This tour is perfect for all fitness levels, and for anyone seeking a unique and meaningful experience in just two hours.

We then explore a plateau scattered with volcanic bombs, before riding around an entire lateral crater. All this, with breathtaking views of the South-East craters and the incredible variety of Etna’s active terrain.
